Your service manager Jeff has been extremely attentive and helpful. We have had numerous issues with our new Whaler this summer and Jeff has gone the extra mile in every instance. He has been accessible after hours via his cell phone. He has gone to bat for us with a warranty claim with Magic Tilt/Karavan when they didn't want to pony up. He had our boat delivered to our home after the trailer was serviced and we could not find time in our schedule to pick it up and he made sure that we had it in time for our big trip to Canada. He reached out to us on his own time on several occasions (evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, etc.) to ask if everything was going well and if we were happy (we were always happy and felt special due to this attention he gave to us). In short, we are not sure if we would have been satisfied with our experience at WaveRide Motors without Jeff. Our experience with your accounting department during the initial phases of the boat purchase on the other hand, was not as good as our experiences with the service department. The accounting department was non-responsive on several occasions when it came to answering emails and voicemails that we had left.

We are long time customers at WaveRide Motors (15+ years) We bought a 2024 Harris Tritoon Cruiser 230 SLDH last month. Trent Miller is our sales person. He was very knowledgeable, professional and customer oriented to work with, without ever being pushy. He gave us several options of what we were looking for. The purchase was a little extra complicated, since we are snowbirds and handled everything via text, e-mail and face-time. I’m a returning customer to WaveRide Motors and can provide a pretty in-depth review after purchasing a boat during the pandemic, which was probably one of the toughest times for dealerships and customers. It’s a little bit of a long read but it’s worth it. I bought a Boston Whaler 190 Montauk from Brandon VanMeekeren in 2018. Brandon was great to work with and delivered a flawless boat—and I am meticulous. I used the boat for 3 years and got the itch to upgrade (yes, right in the middle of the pandemic). It was a no brainer to reach out to Brandon again in 2021 because of how easy it was to work with him the first time. Brandon was straightforward with me from the get-go about logistical hurdles and cosmetic quality issues boat manufacturers—and thus, dealerships—throughout the US were experiencing because of the shutdowns and supply chain shortages. It took a while to get the boat from Boston Whaler like he said and there were indeed cosmetic flaws (scratch in acrylic windshield, gelcoat defects, scratches in stainless steel railing, gash in cowling of motor, etc.). I noticed all of them, of course, but Brandon didn’t try to pull one over me or pacify me with words. Instead he got his team in the service department to actually fix the cosmetic defects and again delivered a cosmetically flawless boat—windshield without any scratches, shiny gelcoat, buffed and polished railing, new cowling. Of course, I didn’t have to pay for any of that either. I ended up asking Brandon to install autopilot on the boat, which was a custom job because Boston Whaler doesn’t provide that option from the factory. He got WaveRide Motors to do the install and the autopilot worked perfectly. The install looked professional as if it came right out of the factory that way. This was at a time when dealerships were turning down custom work because they “didn’t have time” or “didn’t have enough workers.” I couldn’t recommend Brandon VanMeekeren or WaveRide Motors more highly. Brandon was always professional and bent over backward to make me happy and ensure I remain a loyal customer during a time in the boating industry that was challenging, to say the least, for customers and dealerships. I’m not sure other dealers would have gone that far. He dealt very fairly with me, was very responsive, and didn’t lower his standards even though the boating industry in general lowered theirs during the pandemic. Of course, the pandemic is over and many of the issues the boating industry was experiencing are now much better. Whether Brandon and WaveRide Motors know it or not, I really did notice and truly appreciated their efforts to make me happy and go the extra mile for me as a customer. Nobody wants to have a bad experience when buying a new boat. There’s really nowhere else I would go for service or if I wanted a new boat. I’m a happy boater and will be doing more business with Brandon and WaveRide Motors in the future.

Although that one didn't work out, we kept in touch with Brett and he gave us tickets to the GR boat show so we could see their new line of Robalo boats. Brett answered all of our questions, then he did a lot of work on the phone and email dealing with my other questions about trailers, custom work and much more. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT DARREN FISH. We came to Darren in a bind: we found ourselves without a boat (long story), on the heels of a 10-day vacation. Darren was very accommodating and drove us 1 mile down the road from their Richland store to an offsite storage area, so that we could view their available inventory of Harris pontoons. He was very adept at consultative selling and was able to quickly identify which features were most important to us and how to turn around our recent negative experience with another boat shop. Within 30 minutes, we selected the 2022 Grand Mariner LS. Darren made the purchase process fun and committed to be present with us through the life cycle of the purchase. In the days that followed, he called or sent text messages to arrange for delivery to our home. He also followed up with calls and text messages to ensure that we understood the operation of all the features. It's hard to explain, but I think that Darren also connected with my wife & I on a "values" level, understanding that this purchase was all about creating happy memories for our children. I would encourage anyone looking for any watercraft to give Darren a call. He is best-in-class.

I recently bought an Axis A22 from WaveRide Motors and am really happy with the experience. I live out of state and found the boat on the internet and then worked with Brandon over the course of a week or two working out the deal. I'm a prior Axis owner so I knew the boat but had plenty of questions based on the newer model and he was really informative. He obviously has spent plenty of time on the water and knows his stuff. I also appreciated that he never used any of the typical sales tactics (telling you they have other people interested, the boat won't last long at this price, etc.) to try to close the deal. I used a third party shipper to pick up the boat and transport it for me so I dealt with a couple of guys in the shop. Everyone I dealt with over the phone was helpful and friendly and went the extra mile getting the boat prepped for transport. Even with photos, it's always a gamble buying something sight unseen. When I got the boat, there were a few minor issues so I contacted the shop and the sales manager, Trevor was great to deal with. He was highly professional and did everything I expected to make sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. In the whole process, I probably dealt with 5-6 guys over text, email and phone. Update. After the review I was immediately contacted by WaveRide Motors. They were very apologetic and I got answers for all the issues I was having. We were able to schedule my boat in to get the warranty work done at a date that was convenient and I should have it back in time for good weather here in Michigan. I am happy with how things were handled and resolved. Thank you to the WaveRide Motors team for reaching out. Sorry it took so long to update my review. I forgot about it until today. The only reason this is 2 stars instead of 1 is I had a great experience with the sales team. Branden was awesome. The issue I have is with the service/warranty department. The dealership was amazing until they received our nearly hundred thousand dollar payment. Before even taking the boat out, there were many issues that we found, some of which were part of the “inspection” the dealership was supposed to complete. After reaching out multiple times, it took a phone call to the manager to get any response. Throughout the summer we have found a list of issues and continue to reach out to the dealer. I am normally a very understanding and patient person and completely understand how busy people get. I have yet to receive any response to my issues. Most of them are cosmetic or do not stop us from using the boat. However, I have had to purchase a new horn, because when I got a safety check from the coast guard, it didn’t work. After reaching out to the dealer, I again got no response. We had another trip planned and I needed it so after spending that much money on a brand new boat with a warranty, I had to pay more to make sure I could use it. I wish there was a dealer that serviced my brand of boat wasn’t in another state otherwise I wouldn’t have anything to do with them anymore. We are a middle class family who works very hard for every dollar we make. It truly makes me sad that upgrading our boat has been this experience.

I looked all over the country for a new Whaler and ended up working with Brett Mumy at WaveRide Motors. They were able to sell my older Whaler within a couple days and get a new boat on order. Bret knew all about the boat and handled all the details. The boat was delivered with some issues from the factory but WaveRide Motors did a great job picking up the boat and getting everything taken care of in an expedited fashion. I look forward to working with them for years to come.

Saved our summer vacation - no, really! Unfortunately, we only get to boat during our 2 week summer vacation, and during the first week the impeller went out. Not only did the service team spend a lot of time with me on the phone to try and diagnose the issue, they also fit me in same day for service, and stayed late to complete the job. We were back on the lake the next day with a smooth running boat. So, when I say “saved our summer vacation” I mean it…vacationing on a lake with no boat just isn’t the same. I was looking for a Hobie PA14 and went to the coopersville store and they didn’t have the color I wanted but that’s my fault for not calling ahead. I drove a hour and a half from Saginaw. Anyway I was told they had the one I wanted at the Richland store so I decided I’d make the Hour and a half drive to that store..well they didn’t have the color I wanted but the salesman was helpful and I decided on a different color.
